On Tuesday October 20th, the Board of Directors met to discuss the future of the 2020-21 curling season.
After review of the membership registration and the financial outlook, it was decided that the Simcoe Curling Club will remain closed for the 2020-21 curling season.
I want to personally thank the members of the board for all their efforts and hard work put into the attempted start up.
I also want to thank the membership for all the feedback, questions and concerns that have been provided to the board over the last few months.
Over the next few days, the club will be reaching out to all members who paid for their membership via email to arrange refunds.
For those that have contributed to the club, the generosity is greatly appreciated. We will reach out to those that contributed to verify that their contributions are still acceptable for the club to use, now that we have shifted to a season closure.
All coaching credits will be deferred to the 2021-21 curling season. This canceled season will not count as a break for the purpose of life time membership.
While this is a setback, the club will return. We will see everyone on the ice again.
Stay safe

President
