On February 22nd thru to February 23rd, the Simcoe Curling Club will be host to Curling Ontario's Tier 2 Best Western Challenge.

Our second Curl and Chill event was a success. Some people hit the ice for the first time, others are repeat visitors from the year before. Thank you to our conveners, Mike Mitchell and Amy Vandertuin, for spearheading the event!

Recently, 44 Grade 7 students from Lakewood Elementary School had the exciting opportunity to try curling at the Simcoe Curling Club, thanks to their teacher and club member, Angie Lane. The students participated in week one of a three-session program aimed at introducing them to the sport.

Curling is a sport built on mutual respect for both opponents and teammates.

It is a game of etiquette, both on and off the ice, and requires us to uphold standards of conduct that contribute to a positive atmosphere for everyone involved.

We're relaunching our National Sport Trust Fund-Ontario campaign to help fund this project. This will be similar to when we raised money for curling rock replacement.

As with the rock replacement program we will be recognizing all contributions in the following manner.

Bronze - Up to $100.00
Silver - 101.00 to $250.00
Gold - $251.00 to 500.00
Platinum - $501.00 and up
