FYI, for curlers that have one of Goldline's Impact Brooms, they have sent out the following email.
We want to inform you about a manufacturing defect affecting ONLY THE BATCH of Impact heads produced in 06/2022. If you have an Impact head from the 06/2022 batch, and the release buttons that hold the pad in place are not working correctly, we'd like to replace it for you.
Here's what to do:

1. Check your batch number and confirm it is 06/2022
2. Take a clear photo of your batch number and note the diameter of the broom handle

Goldline will replace the Impact head" To find your Impact head date code, this is on the inside of the head, you will need to remove the sleeve and foam to find.  For assistance on locating this, please reach out to the proshop at This email address is being protected from spambots. Next stop: Whitby Curling Club from November 1-3, where they’ll be competing for the provincial title. Let’s cheer them on as they take on the best club teams from across Ontario!

We’re thrilled to introduce two fantastic new curling opportunities this season, perfect for everyone from seasoned players to those just starting out!

Sunday Morning Drop-In Curling. This is open to both members and non-members, making it a great chance to bring friends along and enjoy a game! If you're a member, this is already included in your membership, but for non-members, it's just $20 per game. Whether you're looking for some casual weekend fun or sharpening your skills, this is the perfect way to get on the ice. 

Next, we’re offering two great Doubles Curling options for the season, depending on registration numbers

Mixed Doubles, which follows the traditional format of one male and one female player per team, designed for those seeking a more competitive curling experience.
Open Doubles, a recreational option where any two players can team up. Open Doubles is perfect for anyone, whether you’re brand new to curling or an experienced player wanting to try something different. Games for both leagues will be held on Sunday evenings.

You can register as an individual or as a team, so don’t miss out – sign up today!

**Simcoe Curling Club to Expand Inclusive Programming with Jumpstart Grant

Simcoe, September 17, 2024 — The Simcoe Curling Club is proud to announce that it has been awarded a Community Development Grant by Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities (Jumpstart).  

Awarded in September 2024, this Community Development Grant will significantly enhance the Club’s ability to deliver high-quality programming for youth in our community. Specifically, funding provided by the grant will be allocated to supporting young athletes and fostering inclusive sport experiences within the Simcoe Curling Club community..

“We are thrilled to be recognized by Jumpstart,” said Craig Thompson, President of the Simcoe Curling Club. “This grant will allow us to expand our programs and provide better support for all our young athletes, regardless of their background or abilities. We look forward to the positive impact this funding will have.”

Designed to support organizations that provide essential programming for youth in financial need or with disabilities, Jumpstart's Community Development Grants are awarded based on the quality and eligibility of each application. Simcoe Curling Club is honored to have been selected for this prestigious support.

This Simcoe Curling Club is member driven club located in Simcoe within Norfolk County, Ontario. Our facility includes four sheets of ice, a comfortable lounge area, a bar, and kitchen. Our 300+ members are proud to call this club home. From our Little Rockers/Youth Curling to our Learn to Curl League to our Competitive and Social Leagues there is a place for everyone at the Simcoe Curling Club. Our curling season runs from October to April.

As we skillfully slide another stone to the button this curling season, a quick heads-up about parking to keep the game flowing smoothly for everyone.reminder

20231210 123459Please be aware that there is absolutely🚫NO PARKING along the south side of the Commercial Building.

If you choose to park on the north side of the curling club building, bear in mind that the assigned parking area concludes at theElectric Pole  Icon hydro pole near those double doors on the north side. Anything beyond that point is strictly reserved for the Norfolk County Agricultural Society's parking.

🚫No PARKING signs were also posted outside the main entrance. This is to make sure Emergency Services has adequate room to enter the premises.

🅿️ There is ample parking available west of the building in the large parking lot. Feel free to use this space. Please ensure you choose a designated parking area when entering the facility to avoid any loss of available parking spaces.
