The Board and Fund Raising Committee are actively seeking out other revenue and granting streams with applications currently under review with various grant committees. With that we are reopening the National Sport Trust Fund-Ontario campaign to help fund this project. This will be similar to when we raised money for curling rock replacement.

As you may have heard, the Simcoe Curling Club is seeking to update our kitchen. This is to ensure we have a modern work environment that complies with Health Unit requirements.
This project includes removing off all the cabinets and workstations, and replacing them with stainless steel modular workstations and racking. This will provide storage and work areas that are easy to access, clean and sanitize that will not deteriorate or breakdown, as we are experiencing with the current cabinets.
Another aspect is to replace the current floor with a new floor covering, as the current floor has seams that are peeling up and are a cause of concern.
The fundraising committee has set a budget of $30,000.00 to complete this project before the start of the new season, and has currently been able to raise $3800.00
$1500.00 from a grant we applied to last season
$1300.00 from the current balance of our National Sports Trust Fund balance
$1000.00 from a generous donation from the Day Ladies League
